Castlegate Residence
At the Castlegate Residence, the hardwood flooring plays a central role in shaping the modern, layered architecture. The subtle coloration softens the home’s strong architectural lines while maintaining a sleek, contemporary feel.

The Project
We supplied prime grade European Oak, free of any defects and finished to a driftwood tone that almost disguises the material’s wooden origins. The surface takes on the appearance of stone or concrete under certain light, yet retains the warmth and texture of oak beneath. This duality allows the flooring to merge seamlessly with the home’s palette of stucco, steel, and board form concrete.
The staircase is crafted with color matched box treads, carrying the same driftwood finish vertically through the space. As light shifts throughout the day, the flooring reveals subtle tonal variations—offering a quiet sophistication that grounds the residence in both natural beauty and modern restraint.
